Summary: Works well for the price
Comment: Again, you get what you pay for. My middle finger is still healing from a nasty cut. I have never used a mandolin before but the ones I see chefs using are much nicer with a chute device to hold the veggie so you NEVER have to nick your finger. It works good enough for what I need it for though.

Comment: I purchased this item to make shoestring sweet potatoes. It doesn't cut the potato all the way through so that I have to separate all the little pieces. Very annoying. I have to use a lot of pressure to get it to pass over the blade. Cheap price. Cheap product. Pay a little more and get a better one. Wish I did.

Comment: My wife loves fried potatoes. It was a pain in the a** cutting them by hand. This slicer works great! Slices VERY quick. Blade is very sharp. Easy to clean. Great price!

Comment: This is a great product! Just because when you aren't using the finger guard. It is incredibly easy to cut your fingers. But when you are using the finger guard, there's not a problem. I love it!
