Summary: Well built little pan
Comment: I've used the copper bottomed Revere saucepans forever (grew up with my mom using them too). They're great for everyday uses that don't require a heavy pan to control the heat precisely, which is nearly everything you use a saucepan for. I only pull out my Calphalon saucepan once in a blue moon. Anyway, after 10+ years I contrived to destroy my 1 quart pan by boiling it dry and forgetting about it for a while. I actually managed to get the copper for peel off. I was just going to get a replacement but saw these Revere 2000 pans and thought I'd give one a try. So far I'm quite happy with it. I haven't tried anything too finicky to see if it performs noticeably different from the copper-bottomed pans, but for the everyday tasks I generally use this pan for (heating a bit of sauce, boiling a few veggies, etc.) it works great and I don't have to worry about the copper discoloring (and then getting shiny again when I spill a bit of tomato sauce or lemon on it).

Summary: Hard to find without Amazon!
Comment: We've been looking for this item for quite some time. We had a set of these Revere pans but wanted an extra sauce pan. The size is perfect for everything from sauces to canned vegetables and sometimes having two would be a lifesaver. But we were unable to find the pan without buying the entire set again anywhere but here. The pans are wonderful and we'd be lost without them.
