Comment: I've been using strictly Pyrex for my food storage for many months now. I bring my lunches to work so I love that I can heat up the Pyrex in the microwave and then it cleans up easily. This last purchase was for a friend who I think will appreciate it too.

Comment: I like the idea of these things, and they are definitely good for storage, but yesterday I spent two hours making the best enchiladas EVER and the casserole-sized piece literally exploded in my friend's oven. The magnitude of the event compels me to give a 1-star review.

Summary: STILL THE BEST SET FOR YOUR MONEY WORTH
Comment: I have been using my first set for the past 2 months and still looking forward to be with for a while. I like them better than plastic that absorbed the odor and color. The glass even seals out the freshness of my food stored in the refrigierator for 5 days. When your on the go and need to store some leftover food for next meal this is a must.
I have purchased another 2 more sets for back up. Amazon offers a free unbeatable quick shipping.I'm on my 6 years of patronage and Never had a single issue with all my purchase from tools to glass containers. With shipping delivery averaging within two to three business days.

Summary: Glass is always safer to store food in
Comment: Yes, I know Pyrex can shatter and burst. But many others, including me, have never had any problems with Pyrex. I just make sure not to subject it to extreme temperatures, and from cold to very hot, or very cold to very hot, etc. Glass is the best thing you can store your food in, if you don't want to worry about PVC from Cling wrap, or BPA, along with other chemicals leeching from plastics into your food. I don't really use these containers to bake in, but I do use them to freeze food, and primarily refrigerate food.

Summary: Pyrex Storage Sets
Comment: I have recieved a Pyrex Storage Set as a gift. This product I would highly recommend. I have used mine on an almost constant basis without any damage to them, which is quite amazing considering I am rather clumsy with dishes and have two little kids! The product is very durable and can be used by anyone. I have even used them in the microwave and oven without any negative results. The only downside is I can not use the lids in the microwave or oven, but this is only a minor nusiance compared to some other plastic containers I have used which even though claimed to be microwave safe still melted.
I would highly recommend this product for anyone that is on the go and needs a high quality storage product. Like I said earlier I got this product as a gift and have not had to replace any of it in over three years that I have had this one. Excellent product and very easy to use!

There are several reasons to choose glass storage containers: Pyrex glass doesn't warp, stain, absorb odors or interact with food, it is safe for microwave and oven use, it's attractive enough to bring to the table for casual meals. Last but not least you can see the leftovers without opening the lid, which means you won't accidentally grab a dish of corn niblets for lunch when you really wanted to bring macaroni and cheese.
