Customer Rating: Summary: Outstanding Chef Knife Comment: My wife has a touch of rheumatoid arthritis in her hands, and this is the most comfortable chef's knife she has found. It is nicely contoured, well-weighted, and very sharp.
That said, this is an expensive knife - you can find knives that are ALMOST as good for much less. Therefore, I rated this product 4 stars instead of five because I consider overall value to be "good" instead of "excellent".
But if that extra bit of quality is worth a LOT of extra money to you - as it was with us - you'll likely be very happy with this knife.
Customer Rating: Summary: excellent kitchen companion Comment: I have used the same three Henckels knives for the past 10 years--a paring knife, a utility knife, and a carving knife in the Pro series--and I have been very happy with all of them. After seeing the Twin Select knives, I decided to get the 8-inch chef's knife to add to my collection. This knife is perfect for chopping and slicing. It has a nice wide blade that is nice for larger vegetables like carrots. The knife is heavier that any of my other knives but not so heavy to make using it a chore. The blade has stayed extremely sharp and the handle is contoured nicely and feels good in my hand when using the knife. My only complaint is that the handle is a bit slippery if you get it wet. Overall I would recommend it to anyone who does a lot of cooking, it makes an excellent addition to any knife collection.

J.A. Henckels has been manufacturing fine cutlery since 1731. Made in Solingen, Germany, its knives are forged, not stamped. The Henckels Twin Select knife combines a professional level of blade sharpness with an updated and sleek stainless ergonomic handle. Made of 18/10 stainless, the slightly curved handles will add comfort to your kitchen performance.Probably the most used knife in the block, the 8-inch. Chef's Knife is a must-have for medium and large chopping and slicing jobs. A curved blade allows for the rocking motion that makes kitchen prep so efficient. This and other Twin Select knives beautifully accent any stainless kitchen.Features of SIGMAFORGE?? knives are:New one piece constructionHigh forging precisionHigher stability of bladePerfect geometryImproved steel structure for less metal fatigueImproved cutting-edge retention and lasting sharpnessImproved weight and balanceFRIODUR?? ice hardened for maximum no-stain properties and more blade strength
