Comment: Great dutch oven from Le Creuset. Great quality and solid construction as expected. The oval shape and size make it very functional for many purposes. This oven should last me a lifetime.

Comment: I love this it is indispensable for entertaining. I make huge batches of stew in this and freeze them in portions. It heats wonderfully. Like any of their stuff it takes a long while for it to heat up but when it does it keeps its heat.
Word of warning don't use metal spoons or it will scrape the bottom. The cleaner that you can buy for it is a must and it brings it up beautifully.
Also it is very heavy especially when full and it does require a bit of strength to move it from oven etc.

this size is great if you entertain a lot or make batches of things. I use this size the most and I have a few of different sizes.

I didn't pay this price, though its not a bad one, I go to an outlet store to the le creuset store, get one slightly imperfect then wait for a sale.

Comment: OK....Yes, it's expensive and yes, it's so heavy I can barely lift it when it's full.....but, this is what I have wanted forever!

Food stays hot and the clean up is easy. And, you will have this for the rest of your life. I purchased this from Amazon because I needed it right away and they had the best service and the best price.
