Summary: not sturdy enough for us big guys
Comment: Pretty handy little item, but not for the rough and tough ironing when you are pushing down hard to do a heavy garment.
Although the pad itself appeared well made, and doesn't need a cover (don't even know if you can buy one), the stand was flimsy. The metal frame was thin and didn't stand up to aggressive ironing without annoying movement (up and down). The board tended to have a "mushy" feel when pressing down hard. My wife said that it was not made for gorillas. LOL But it still beats ironing on a bare table. Worth the price, but would have paid a few more dollars for a sturdier unit.

Comment: The best thing is that it folds flat and can be kept in any room for touch ups. The iron bay at the end stores underneath for space conservation when not in use, but when in use it creates a safe and stable place for that ever-so-hot iron. I consider that option as an excellent safety feature. Extra padding would be good, and I do add padding to all of my boards. It makes ironing a nicer experience and eliminates the possibility of getting a "waffle" pattern pressed into your garment. This tabletop model is well worth the money, which was a real bargain, in my opinion.

Comment: I purchased this portable board to press my cotton shirts as I pulled them from the dryer. Its design has been perfect because I just set it up on my dryer and use it just like a floor model. Because of its smaller size, it is not suitable for longer or large items such as dresses or sheets, but for shirts and even pants, it works great. It stores in a very small space when collapsed. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a portable ironing board that can be used anywhere.

The perfect ironing board when you don't have much space. Table Top board has a white frame with a 100% cotton cover and foam pad. Retractable chrome iron rest. Stand folds up for storage. .
