Comment: I love this dutch oven. It's great for my larger recipes like a double recipe of Ropa Vieja or a large roast. It cooks the meat to perfection. It makes for a cool presentation at the table as well. The handle made it quite easy to carry (full of lots of delicious food)to the dining room table. I also have the Lodge color enameled cast iron 6 quart dutch oven. I'm sure I'll be enjoying them both for many years to come!

Comment: Great Dutch Oven! So many more uses than just a roaster... A bit heavy, but for the price and free shipping.. can't beat it. I have found it great for a small family as well as a large one and use it all the time. I keep it seasoned with vegetable oil and never a sign of rust. Very versatile.

Comment: Great Pot. Works great in many different applications. Can use it to cook in the oven, smoker, stove top, fireplace or over open flame.
Built to last. I give a light coat of Veg Oil after every use. Do not cover pot while not in use. Keep pot and cover vented. Moisture will stay inside a covered pot and start to rust the metal.

Comment: Having a Master chef's husband to dinner gives one pause for trepidation...so...keep it simple...GIANT roasting chicken, winter vegs, maple syrup. Can't have GIANT chicken, only have 5 qt. Dutch oven...go to Amazon, dummy, and get a 9 qt. Pre-seasoned Dutch oven with iron cover from Lodge Logic...SUCESS! One GIANT CHICKEN perfectly cooked (oh, so brown and moist) and one very pleased Chef's hubby. Thank you,

Comment: I have always wondered what these dutch ovens were like to cook my favorite recipe of Menudo. This a mexican favorite and one that I was brought up with.
