Customer Rating: Summary: Should be recalled due to the plastic piece at the base of the blade Comment: Update Nov 20, 2008: I left a comment on the fox-international.com website, which Black and Decker uses to service their products. I received an automated reply saying someone will reply to my comment within 48 hours. That did not happen, however, I was very surprised when a package containing a replacement piece arrived in my mailbox less than two weeks later, at no charge. For everyone who is in the same situation, I recommend that route. Thanks, Black and Decker!
Original review from Nov 3, 2008:
As with many people on here, the plastic piece at the base of the metal blade assembly disintegrated. We bought this in July 2007, used it in July, August and September, then were gone for a year. Now in Oct 08, the first time we tried to use it, it broke. Too bad the one year warranty expired. The ridiculous part is that the official company for spare parts charges $28 for the spare piece and shipping. That is what I paid before for the entire Crush Master, give or take a couple bucks.
Seeing all of the review here, I think Black and Decker should recall this appliance, since the plastic piece that makes the blade move breaks so easily. Or offer for free a replacement "blade assembly" (made better than the original ones) for everyone who ever bought this appliance.
Customer Rating: Summary: WORST for its name... don't be fooooled Comment: I should have read the reviews about this junk before I bought it. As many have said, within a month of its use the cheap plastic underneath the base which sits around the metal bolt melted away & disintegrated to pieces. It is of no use after that. Waste of money and time, and you cannot find the parts too. Dont be fooled by the 5 star review by a member, and also by the brand name.
Customer Rating: Summary: "Crush Master"? HA!! Crush Master Wannabee! Comment: I didn't use the blender everyday, only once and a while to make fruit shakes. I've had this blender for about 7 months and it broke!
When it did work, it didn't live up to it's self proclaimed title of "Crush Master" at all, more like a Chunk Master, leaving chunks of frozen fruits and ice in my shake.
Customer Rating: Summary: Absolute Trash Comment: I thought this blender because the Box said it could crush ice but it hardly does. The ice is chunky and ruins the smoothie. It does get the job done with fruit so if you don't need to crush ice then its not bad for the price. Id say spend another 30 bucks more to get a better blender.
Customer Rating: Summary: Couldn't Possibly Be Worse Comment: This blender should have been called the "Mush Master." I don't believe a company could sell something that is worse at its purpose then Black and Decker did with this blender. It does a terrible job of blending - baby food would even be too much for it. The makers of this product obviously think people will look at the aesthetics and brand name and just assume this is a quality product. Don't be fooled, beauty is not skin deep!

Simple-to-use push-button controls provide selections for 12 blending speeds, while the ice-crush button makes crushing ice easy. The blender's 42-ounce, calibrated, glass jar features a generous handle and dripless-pour spout for graceful serving. Other useful features include a 2-ounce measuring cap, power light, and convenient cord storage to help keep countertops tidy. The blender measures approximately 13 by 8 by 14 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty.
