Comment: Good basic bowl for mixing dough or making a salad. It is a bit too shallow to use a mixer for whipping cream or eggs (I use a Pyrex 8-cup measuring cup Pyrex Prepware 8-Cup Measuring Cup with Lid when I need to use a mixer). Dishwasher-safe and can be used to melt butter in the microwave oven, which is nice.

Comment: I have owned the item for eight months. There have yet to be any issues with the bowl at this point in time. It arrived well packaged, unharmed. The glass is plenty thick and poses no risk of damage regardless of use. Works well as a large salad serving dish when required.
