Customer Rating: Summary: good Comment: The thermometer is accurate. The hygrometer senses the change of the humidity well. I am not sure if it's also accurate because I don't have other things to measure the humidity. Overall, I think this product is pretty good.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great for the price Comment: I wanted an indoor thermometer to get an idea of how warm it got in my apt in the summer (to see how hot I could tolerate) and to see how cold it gets in the winter. It's useful to see how the temperature changes indoors. It's exactly what I was expecting and is easy to read from across the room. As far as I can tell it seems accurate. I recommend this product. It's not too fancy but it looks nice sitting on a shelf or side table.
Customer Rating: Summary: Thermostat Checker Comment: We recently installed two house thermostats which are controlled by the Power company as an energy-saving measure. I used the La Crosse Thermometer as a comparison of temps on both thermostats. There was a 3 deg and 1 deg differential on the thermostats. I'm using the La Crosse as my temp standard assuming that it's a lot more accurate.
Customer Rating: Summary: It works great Comment: Some others reviewing this item seem to have had problems with it. Mine works great. As soon as I put the batteries in, the temp and humidity readings popped onto the screen. It has been working great for the two weeks since I got it. Don't know how it will do over time, but for the price, I am quite satisfied now. I do recommend this item for its basic function: displaying temperature and humidity indoors.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great, Easy to Read, Accurate Comment: Digital Thermometers are only as good as their accuracy and this LaCrosse Technology is accurate and a great buy.
I have two other thermometers which have humidity gauges. Thus, I ran a basic comparison test. I put the LaCrosse next to both my Springfield Precisetemp Digital and my aging, but accurate, Springfield Weather Station. I found the LaCrosse to be with in one degree of the other's temp. readings. It was right on the numbers with its humidity reading! The large digital display is readable across the room. Kudos. This is a good buy. Highly Recommended.
