Summary: Very Pleased
Comment: I was somewhat hesitant about purchasing the DeLonghi 300 Ironing System because I've had two Rowenta steam systems. However after doing some research on the new Rowenta (they changed the model and with the new one you can't see the level) I decided to try the DeLonghi (had some positive reviews). I use my iron every day. I'm a quilter and on weekends my iron may stay on most of the day, I think the pressure is a little better than my Rowenta was and I like the overall size and weight of this iron. It does take a bit longer to heat up than my last Rowenta and I wish you could see the water level, however I'm getting the habit of checking the level when I turn it on. Overall I would recommend purchasing.

Summary: A spitter
Comment: Our first boiler type steam iron (EuroPro) finally stopped after 14 years of use. I bought this one as a reasonably priced replacement. I use reverse osmosis water in it even though they say you can use tap water. After the first 2 months of use is has begun to spit water pretty much all the time. I called the authorized Delonghi service shop here and as he put it "Delonghi is overpriced crap". I am not sure that I agree as it does a great job other than the spitting and the inconvenience of not knowing it is full until it overflows. Our other iron had a clear plastic tube with a marking on it so you could check the level.
I have a Reliable ironing table with the heated table and blower. I am very impressed with the quality. I am thinking I will return the iron to Sears as it is still within the 90 day return window and pay for an upgrade to the Reliable.

Summary: amazing
Comment: Amaziong iron, I remember been in Italy and watch my mother ironing, boy people iron a lot over there. After a long search I found it on amazon.com, (great service) so, I had to buy it. No regreats what so ever, the only down site is that here in the US everthing plugs in on a 110v outless requiring more time to heat up and more energy to keep the steam going. I will recomand this to everyone.

Summary: if it keeps working it is great to use...mine didn't
Comment: Had my Stiromeglio for about 5 months and steam started escaping around the iron base. Burns me now when I try to use it.

Not very well made obviously, and when I received it I was a bit concerned because the exterior is all molded plastic.

I really enjoyed it for five months....now not so much

Comment: DeLonghi Stiromeglio Compact PRO 300 Ironing System with Pressurized Boiler
I have owned the Rowenta Expert Steam Generators that I have loved, loved, loved. The first one worked for about 4 years and then stopped steaming. It seemed like the button on the handle was locked or broken. I sent it in for repairs and it was the broiler tank that had gone bad, the cost was about $90.00. It lasted about another 2 years and then quit working. I decided to try a different brand (the Delonghi Compact pro 300) Things I love about this is it is quiet. My old Rowenta was like a generator turning on and off when the boiler would heat up. The steam on the pro 300 is only on the tip of the iron, but there is a lot of steam. It just takes some time getting use to. The plug in cord is nice and heavy but is a little bit on the short side. The biggest draw back is that you can not see the water level. You have to use all the water in the tank before you can refill, but you have to wait for the iron to cool down about 20 minutes before refilling. I get busy and forget and then next time I go to use it there isn't any steam, so you have to turn it off and wait and fill the tank. The cost for one of these irons is well worth it. I use to go through 3 or 4 regular irons a year. You will never have to use a water bottle or starch again! big savings!!
