Customer Rating: Summary: Fragile JUNK easily broken Do Not Buy Kyocera knives Comment: This Kyocera "advanced ceramics" paring knife is junk! I know how to handle knives but have broken the blade on this one 3 times - rendering it useless for anything. I would NEVER buy again. Other brands of ceramic knives are MUCH more durable. Be warned.
Customer Rating: Summary: great paring knife Comment: This knive is very light, razor sharp, and a joy to use. I recommend that you use this knife for fruits and vegatables exclusively, as I don't think it will stand up as a "utility" knife. Also, you can't sharpen it by conventional means and so you should treat it as a delicate instrument (no dishwasers or throwing it in a pile with other knives and forks). That said, it is holding it edge very well. We've had another Kyocera ceramic knife for two years and with good treatment, it is still very, very sharp.
Customer Rating: Summary: KYOCERA ADV. CERAMICS FK-25-WH Paring Knife Comment: good knife, comfortable handle, very sharp but NOT extremely sharp, still sharp enough after 3 months of use. I have no idea how I can sharpen it by myself. There is nothing in the instruction.
Customer Rating: Summary: Expensive but worth it Comment: This is a very handy little knife. It spoils you for any other.

These Kyocera Ergonomic Series knives offer a new way to cook. The ceramic blades are half the weight of steel and are chemically inert, for a cleaner & healthier kitchen. They're moisture-resistant, tightly riveted in 3 places and retain their sharpness 10 times longer than standard steel knives.
