Summary: great bread machine
Comment: This is a great bread machine. It is everything the manufacturer said.
I have made several different types of bread, including the dough cycle, and all worked well.

Summary: Breadman TR875
Comment: I haven't used it yet, simply because it has such an odor to it. When I opened it up, it smelled like it had been sprayed by a skunk. I washed the pan and have tried to wipe down the inside, but it still stinks. I don't want to make anything in it - because who knows if the smell will transfer and make stuff taste skunky. Anyone else have that issue? If so, what can you do to make the horrid smell go away?

Summary: Works fine for >1yr...but...
Comment: Well, I've been reading some of the reviews. Guess I'd throw in my 2c. I've had mine for about 14months. I make around 1 loaf of stone ground whole wheat bread per week. Fwiw, this is my second machine (had a DAK for the first). For the most part the loaves come out very well and of consistant texture. I have two complaints: first the tabs that hold the pan down bent, so it's not all that secure. Some users have had trouble with the pan coming out of the the motor. I haven't had that problem, but can see it happening (I make only 2-lb loafs- maybe the extra weight holds it down[?]). Secondly, and the reason why I'm looking around on the net regarding the Breadman, is that the teflon is coming off the pan. On the inside there is two slightly raised areas. It is there that the the teflon is off, down to the metal. I also like adding sunflower seeds. Apparently, this is too abrasive for the pan as there are numerous scratches on the bottom of the pan. I would give if a much lower score if didn't give me consistantly good loaves and was so easy to use. It seems on the cheap side, but after 14 months all is well.

Summary: Good for less than a month!
Comment: I thought this was a great machine. I made several loaves of very good bread. But my second loaf of french bread(using the dough cycle only)the machine wasn't quite strong enough to get to the end of the cycle. Since then, even with the regular loaves of bread, the machine just doesn't have the power to get through the entire cycle.I waited a couple weeks before attempting the dough cycle for french bread again and the machine cut off 15 min before cycle was over. I am assuming the motor just isn't powerful enough. You could smell the motor running hot! Enough already! I will be shopping around for a different machine.Breadman TR875 2-Pound Breadmaker, Stainless Steel

Summary: New Breadmaker and a new Baker
Comment: I bought this breadmaker a year ago and found that it made the bread okay but I had to try to turn it on several times because the menu was so complicated. Also, the mixing function on my breadmaker does not work. I have to start the churning process myself to make sure it works. I wish I had better success with it because I wanted to make my own bread each week with my new machine but as it is I have only used it a couple of times because it does not work.
