Check out the Timex TX6000 electronic thermometer, a versatile desktop model that simultaneously displays the indoor temperature, outdoor temperature, current time, and date in big, bold numbers. The compact unit--which also mounts on a wall (the stand is removable) or sits unobtrusively on a tabletop or shelf--offers an indoor temperature range of 32 to 122 degrees F (0 to 50 degrees C) and an outdoor range of -58 to 158 degrees F (-50 to 70 degrees C). As a result, you can instantly gauge whether to bring the plants inside during a cold spell, turn up the heat in the living room, or put on a jacket before taking a stroll. At the same time, the TX6000 includes an integral minimum/maximum memory function that records the high and low temperatures of the day. The selections are made via the silver control buttons beneath the LCD display. The clock also boasts an alarm with its own snooze button.
