Summary: Great product, iffy instructions
Comment: The cutters are great, sturdy, and bright green so they are easy to keep togeather. The sugar cookie recipie is delicious. However, in the instructions it says you will need 2 batches, and I have made the tree 3 times with only one batch of dough, with enough left over to make some cookies for snacking. Same thing for the easy pour frosting, it says you will need 2 batches but I coated all the stars with just one batch of pourable frosting and one batch of buttercream (with a bit of corn syrup so it would set up firm and hold the shape). Overall it takes me about 1 1/2 hours actively working to make a georgious tree that people need convincing to eat.

Summary: plenty of fun
Comment: I fell in love with this product about 11 years ago. I was 17 and my boyfreind's mother was in the process of stacking the cookies to make the tree. She now has been my mother-n-law for 10 years and we make the cookie tree at Christmas every year. This year I finally bought my own cookie cutter set to make the playful tree whenever we want. What a fun way to start a family tradition. Fun for adults and kids alike.

Summary: Works great
Comment: Cookie Tree came out great...I did find you needed a few more smaller cookies at the top to make a nice full tree!

Summary: Cute tree, lots of work!
Comment: The dough recipe was easy to follow, cutting and baking the cookies was easy enough. I would definitely line my pans with parchment next time to save on clean up. Allow a good portion of your day for this project, it is time consuming!

Making the frosting is simple enough. You don't need to double the recipe like they suggest, I had plenty to frost each cookie and to "glue" the tree together and stick little candy ornaments on it; I still had some leftover. I colored my frosting green with food coloring. I needed much more coloring than I expected to get the desired color. It looked pretty though. I liked that I could put the frosting aside for a few hours and warm it up later to loosen it and finish my project later in the day.

The end result was an adorable tree that dressed up our holiday table. I got many compliments.

Bear in mind, I am no Betty Crocker--I'm a bit of a baking klutz and I was able to pull this off. I can cook well but my work is rarely pretty--my cakes crack, my pies are lopsided...The fact that I made this and it looked cute says something about the ease of this project.

I haven't tried it with jello, chocolate or rice krispy treats yet...maybe next year!

Summary: Christmas Tree cookie cutters
Comment: Nothing high tech here. Just good ol fashioned cookie cutters sized so that you can stack the cookies to make a Christmas tree. Clear, concise directions; a variety of recipes for various types of trees; suggestions for decorating. Wish I'd had these years ago.
