When Camden Rose first tested this set in pre-schools across the US there was an outpouring of excitement. The ergonomically correct design of the spoon not only teaches a child the proper way to hold a spoon, but it supports the development of other fine motor skills. Each spoon is crafted by hand from premium cherry wood. **This listing is for a cherry spoon with a laser engraving on the handle as seen in one of the pictures** For this set, Camden Rose found an artist that creates their bowls & spoons from a single piece of premium cherry the same way that they did over 150 years ago. Created from dead or fallen trees, the bowls are 6 in diameter. The Bowl and Spoon is sealed with Three BEEautiful Bees All-Natural Beeswax Polish, made with out any petroleum byproducts. To maintain the life of the bowl and spoon you must not wash it in the dishwasher. Instead, use water and a small amount of mild soap and hand dry. To preserve it for generations, you should occasionally add a beeswax protectant.
