Summary: The Perfect Flour/Sugar Sifter
Comment: I originally purchased a smaller, less expensive flour/sugar sifter that worked by squeezing the handle back and forth. That sifter broke the first time I used it. This sifter (5 cups) will hold a full box of powdered sugar as well as a large amount of flour. It operates by turning a knob so there is no handle to break. This sifter is expensive, but well worth the cost!

Comment: Looking at all the different types of sifters I decided on this one because it looked like one my mother and grandmother used with ease. Well, it is as simple as I remember and I love it. It holds a lot of flour and sifts in a flash. Love it!

Summary: Swiftly sifts for fluffy flour
Comment: My Mother has had this exact same sifter for probably 30 years or more. Mom's isn't stainless steel, and is has some rust in the corners, but who cares? Its sifts like the wind! Three or four cranks will get you through most of four cups, and a whack to the side will finish the job. These beauties are still made in the US, if you care.
I just got back from an exhaustive search of Missoula, MT for a sifter like this, (why? It's a long story.) but the world has gone squeeze-sifter mad for some reason. If you need to work on your grip strength, you can get a squeeze sifter anywhere. (And trust me, they are all exactly the same, from Ace Hardware to Herberger's.) Otherwise, get a Bromwell's. Do it for yourself. Do it for America.
